DONALD BOYER
Baritone
Donald is a native of St. Louis, Missouri and manager of Educational Music Service, a leading supplier of sheet music purchases to major orchestras, opera companies and choirs worldwide. Choral and violin training in high school were followed by violin studies at Washington University and the St. Louis Conservatory. Don played professionally at the Muny Opera and Memphis Symphony before leaving the Midwest. During his 8-year tenure as music director at Grace Episcopal Church in Middletown, NY he began to sing with Kairos. Simultaneously he began vocal studies with Eileen Mackintosh, continuing for 6 years. Don has appeared as soloist with Kairos in many Bach cantata arias and in Purcell's King Arthur; locally as soloist in the Fauré Requiem; and in recital singing Schumann's Dichterliebe and Ravel's Don Quichotte à Dulcinée.
